We'll bring theory to life, showing how these wounds and the impact of trauma really present on a day-to-day basis.Whether you work directly with children or the inner child within adults, their voice will allow you to truly connect and feel the impact of their lived experience. Through their narrative, we will consider how their protector and survival parts were established, and how these parts speak to us.This is a space for reflection: to explore how the transformative power of being seen, heard, and understood in the therapeutic relationship, is our most powerful tool in moving from protection to connection.We will also curiously explore how our own responses can be shaped by our attachment styles and lived experience - recognising what happens when parts of us, both consciously and subconsciously, come into the therapy room, and how this can affect and shape the work.Later, we will hear from that same child, now a young adult. Through their voice and words, they will share their experience of therapy: what they wish we had known, what worked, what hurt - and how those moments shaped their therapeutic journey. We will reflect on the power of a team approach, and how it can truly support a path to healing.This workshop isn’t about theory on paper — it’s about how that shows when we sit with the raw, real voice of trauma.Through their journey, we will be experiencing, exploring and discussing emotional, sensitive and potentially upsetting themes.
