A Carol Service for Sighthounds & their humans will be hosted by our volunteers Abi & Andy and their singing greyhound Matilda again! Everyone is welcome whether you are a regular churchgoer or not.
Before the service, we will gather for a social walk. Meeting at 12:00 at the church, walking down to the beach, a little refreshment rest, before returning for the service at 15:00.
A couple of Christmas Bible readings and a Christian Christmas message addressing themes relatable to our rescued sighthounds. Musicians leading us in a few well-known carols, and the hounds usually lead or join in with the singing :-)
There is lots of space to spread out, and the church has comfy chairs rather than pews so people can create their own little areas if that helps not get on top of each other. In the church is a wooden floor so it would be good to bring something for the hounds to lie on, but the heating will be on, and in the hall it is carpeted and has underfloor heating.
After the service, we can gather and socialise in the hall. A small selection of FHT merchandise will be available to purchase.
There is a car park at the church, or if that’s full there’s a public car park 1 minute up the road. There are a couple of secure outside spaces separate from the car park if dogs needed a time out or a visit to the loo then they could go there.
