- **Event Description**: Retreat from your busy everyday life into the deeply nurturing and peaceful space I create for you to connect with your pregnancy and unborn baby.
Stretch and strengthen your body; improve balance in the pelvis to help with optimal baby positioning; develop awareness of your breath to help you in labour and for general well-being; release tension; relieve aches and pains of pregnancy; relax and make lasting friendships.
Each session starts with a chat where there is the chance to ask questions and get informed about pregnancy & birth.
Then comes breathing and connecting with your baby. This leads into the movement part of the class helping you make space in your body, stretch and release.
Most weeks there are practice positions and breathing for labour, this is supportive for all births even if you know you're having a caesarean as the breathing is so calming.
We then finish with a blissful relaxation so you leave the class feeling peaceful and ready for a good night's sleep.
Suitable from the 14th week of pregnancy to full term. For all abilities including complete beginners to yoga. No need to be fit or flexible.
Cost: £44 for a 4 week block (4 consecutive weeks) or pay as you go from 37 weeks £13 per class. Pay as you go earlier than 37 weeks is also available, space permitting.
What you'll need: A yoga mat (or I can bring one for you), 2 cushions (regular scatter cushion size or pillows), a blanket (for relaxation at the end of the class) and water to drink. Wear comfortable clothes that do not restrict your movement e.g. leggings / yoga trousers.
