She is an instructor for the Motion Palpation Institute and moveMentors.She began her career with a focus on sports rehab, but when she wanted to get pregnant, she realized that this approach of prehabilitation and rehabilitation techniques was relevant to (and missing from) most perinatal care. As she began applying things she'd learned from MPI and DNS to pregnant and postpartum patients, her practice shifted to primarily focusing on the perinatal time period. She continues to serve her patients ranging from pediatrics through geriatrics, desk jockeys to professional athletes.Dr. Mumma teaches a skills-based and evidence-informed approach to care rather than a protocol-driven set of instructions.
