The imaginative scope for fantasy writing is vast. As such, it can be tricky knowing where to begin.

In this talk, author, editor and mentor Francesca Tyer will discuss the complexities of fantasy world-building. She will share the common errors made by first-time fantasy writers and inspire you to create (or continue to develop) your own fictional universe.

You will learn the fundamentals of immersive world-building, including guidance on tropes, target audiences and techniques as well as the finer details.
