Set against the stunning backdrop of the Flatirons, this endurance-focused race challenges paddlers with a long, fast course designed to reward consistency, pacing, and grit. 

Compete against the best paddlers in Colorado or challenge yourself to go farther than ever before! With beginner-friendly and elite divisions, this race welcomes paddlers of all skill levels.

• 3 Mile Fun Race
• 6 Mile Elite Race

Racers will complete either one or two laps around Boulder Reservoir, emphasizing endurance, pacing, and efficient paddling over technical turning.

? Race Categories
Each race will feature separate OC1 and SUP divisions for both men and women. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each division.

All race craft are welcome to participate, though some craft may not be eligible for trophy categories.

? Itinerary
9:00 AM – Race Check-In Opens
10:00 AM – Pre-Race Meeting + Safety Briefing
10:15 AM – Race Start
11:45 AM – Trophy Ceremony

? Course Description
This race begins with an on-water start before paddlers head out on a counterclockwise lap around the Boulder Reservoir wake-zone buoys.

Fun Race participants will complete one full lap before crossing the finish line. Elite Race participants will round a designated buoy and continue on for a second lap before sprinting to the finish.

With long straightaways, minimal turning, and plenty of room to find your rhythm, the Flatiron Flatout is all about endurance, strategy, and maintaining speed over distance.
