Contact Improv asks a lot of our knees—bending, kneeling, spiraling, lifting, bearing weight. I'm offering this low-key hands-on clinic for movers, focusing on:
1. Experiential Anatomy: We'll discover how your knees actually work through movement and exploration—feeling the bones, ligaments, fascia, and muscles in action. We'll give special attention to ways to help with common injuries and challenges, such as meniscus, ligament, bursa, Baker's cysts, patellar issues, creaky knees, etc.
2. Hands-on Learning: Using gentle, guided touch and simple techniques, we'll learn to safely feel and map the structures of each other's knees, helping to improve awareness, remap proprioception, restore function, and support healthy movement patterns.
3. Self-Care Potluck: Bring your favorite knee rehab exercise, tip, or self-care technique to share! We'll build a collective toolkit from our community's lived knee-experience and wisdom.
This is an informal, practical workshop for anyone curious about keeping their knees happy in our CI practice. Come ready to learn, share, and explore.
Who it’s for: CI folks with curious or tender knees. Not a medical appointment; all bodies and experience levels welcome (some CI experience recommended).
