Join us for our second (and last before Apo) Regional Ranger Training of the 2026 season! Just in time to dust off those skillsets before Apogaea! Share this event with them and get more details below! What is a Ranger? Rangers are fellow participants with radios who assist Burners in helping themselves and others. They’re volunteers who choose to participate as non-confrontational mediators, information service providers, reality reference points, and problem solvers for the community. Not a regional ranger yet? No problem! Are you: -Someone looking for new ways to participate and volunteer at your local burner events? -A Colorado theme camp organizer looking for new skills to better mitigate conflicts between camps and camp mates? -A local community member interested in developing your mediation skills given the state of current events? -Someone who enjoys helping others while soberly strolling through Apogaea, CBE, or Elsewhence while looking at art and interacting with others? -That friend that others turn to when in need or chaos calls? -A community leader looking to understand how to wield your “social capital” for the greater good? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, here's your sign that Rangers might be a fit for you and you should come to our training! Even if you just want to check out our training and not go through the extra steps to become a Ranger, all are welcome! Details: 📅 Date: May 2nd, 2026 📍 Where: KGNU “GNU” Community Media & Cultural Center 1720 14th Street, Boulder, CO 80302 🕦 Time: 9:30AM-5PM (**Training starts promptly at 10AM. Please arrive at 9:30AM to check in before training**) 🎉 Post Ranger Training Social to follow (Location TBA at training) 🧸 What to Bring: -A notebook and pen/pencil -Water and lunch/snacks (there are lots of fast food options within a short drive of the venue but make the best choices for yourself) -Anything else you'd need to take with you to be “shift ready” and radically self reliant in your training experience (i.e. medications, a watch, etc.) 🚗 Parking is available (metered street parking with $1.50/HR and some free parking garages on weekends a couple blocks away) and carpooling is encouraged! Can't join us for this round? No worries! There will be a Black Rock Ranger training that you can audit for credit in the Denver Metro area or Paonia, CO.
