BioFrontiers faculty member Robin Dowell talks about "Unlocking the Goldilocks Zone of RNA: How Dosage Impacts Health". She will discuss how studying RNA levels may reveal more about disease risk than studying DNA alone. Analyzing the RNA levels in people with Down syndrome, who have different gene dosages and different rates of many diseases compared to the broader population, is revealing clues about how to predict the likelihood of developing disease when those levels are outside of the Goldlilocks Zone.
Doors will open at 5:45 pm and talks begin at 6:00 pm. A social reception will follow at 7:00 pm. Visit the BioFrontiers Presents website for more information!
