The Boulder Junction Public Library will be offering an Alcohol Ink Art Workshop with Darcy Lanz-Sage on Saturday, March 14 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participation is free, but registration is required, and class size is limited to 12 people. The class will be held in the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Join local artist and crafter Darcy Lanz-Sage for this fun and creative workshop! Participants will create coasters, small art pieces, and ornaments, using alcohol inks on ceramic ornaments, tiles, paper, and glass. See how “fire” can be used for some beautiful organic effects. Discover the magic of alcohol inks! All materials and supplies are provided by the instructor.
Darcy is an artist and art educator. She has been teaching art to people of all ages for over 40 years. Her interest in artmaking began at a very early age and her experience with different media is vast. Over the years, Darcy has participated in a variety of art fairs, shows, and exhibits and has sold items in numerous shops. She has been published in Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine, Quilting Arts Magazine, and Interweave’s special publication devoted to journal making, called PAGES.
Darcy is the mother of two daughters: “Bella” to three (soon to be four) grandchildren, and lives with her husband in Manitowish Waters. The Northwood’s has always held a special place in Darcy’s heart and she is very happy to now be calling it “Home”!
