- **Event Description**: Lake Metigoshe State Park is excited to host this camp as part of our summer series of day camps, which focus on environmental education and outdoor recreational skills.

Please note there are two opportunities to take in this camp. July 8 and 9 are independent camps; this is not a two-day commitment/camp. 

The OHV Safety Certification & Ride Camp will start at 9am with some classroom time discussing safe practices and laws surrounding operating OHV's. Afterwards, participants will be transported via 15 passenger van to the Turtle Mountain State Recreation Area located about 6 miles NW of Bottineau where they will go through a series of drills and obstacle courses activities to practice and demonstrate safely operating an OHV utilizing our education/training fleet. 

Afterwards, participants will get the opportunity to go on a guided ride. A picnic lunch will be provided and eaten in the field; participants can pack their own lunch, if desired. In the afternoon, participants will return to the park; pick-up will be at the LMSP office at 4pm. 

All participants are required to wear pants, long-sleeve shirts, good footwear (no open toes) and gloves. Participants will obtain a new helmet for them to keep. To maximize their experience campers should bring a water bottle and should have wear bug spray and sunscreen. Snacks/lunch will be provided.

Pre-coursework may be assigned affiliated with the safety certification.

The cost for this camp is $40/participant; participants must be the described age at the time of camp. Participants can register for multiple camps within the summer series as different activities are planned for most camps.

Registration for all camps within the series will open on May 1 at 9am via https://bit.ly/LMSPevents. Participation is limited so it is highly suggestion to register promptly when registration opens.
