# Event Details - **Event Name**: Waterworks Museum: SPECIAL ACCESS TOUR - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 22 May, 2026 at 02:30 pm – Sun, 28 Jun, 2026 at 03:30 pm - **Event Description**: 1 hour guided tour with SPECIAL ACCESS to basement level pumps and upper levels of the engines.About this EventSpecial Access ticket holders will receive an in depth guided tour and be permitted access to the sub-basement two stories below ground to view the massive Allis pumps that delivered 30 million gallons of water per day to the citizens of Boston. Participants will also have the exclusive opportunity to climb either the Allis Engine or the Leavitt engine for an up-close look at these mammoth machines. All participants must be at least 12 years old and 46 inches tall due to the height of the safety rails. All participants will be required to sign an accident and liability waiver acknowledging the risks associated with climbing the high and narrow pathways before being permitted to engage in the Special Access Tour. This waiver will be provided on your arrival. If you would like to review it ahead of time, please email us at info@waterworksmuseum.org.Please make sure to double check the date of your tickets before purchasing as, in the event the tour is sold out, Eventbrite will automatically reschedule you for the next available date.Tours leave PROMPTLY at the scheduled start time, so please plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your tour starts to give yourself plenty of time to sign your waiver and get settled. Remember that space is limited on our Special Access Tours and demand is high, so if you are unable to attend your scheduled tour date, please reach out to us ASAP about rescheduling or cancelling your tickets. While we will make every effort to accommodate late arrivals, if you have not checked in for your tour by fifteen minutes after the scheduled start time you will forfeit your spot and other museum visitors will be able to purchase tickets for available spaces.
