Before these legislative visits, attendees will hear from inspiring speakers who support civil legal aid in Massachusetts, including a client who faced a serious problem and was helped by legal services. Free lunch will be provided for attendees. CART and ASL services will be available.About Civil Legal Aid: Unlike criminal defendants, people with low incomes who are facing serious civil legal problems—including issues related to domestic violence, housing, health care, employment, and education—do not have the right to an attorney in most cases.
