South Station, Boston

Wheelchair users across Massachusetts are coming together to raise awareness about the ongoing wheelchair repair crisis and the impact these delays have on our daily lives.

When a wheelchair breaks down, the consequences go far beyond inconvenience. Delayed repairs can mean missed work, missed medical appointments, lost independence, health complications, and being unable to fully participate in our communities.

This rally is about making those experiences visible. We want the public to better understand what it means to depend on a wheelchair and what happens when repairs take weeks or months instead of days. We also want to shine a light on the industry practices, corporate consolidation, and private equity influence that wheelchair users and advocates have long identified as contributing to these delays.

Wheelchair users, family members, caregivers, advocates, providers, and community supporters are all encouraged to attend. Together, we can help elevate these stories, build public awareness, and push for meaningful change.
