- **Event Description**: A Bank Heist, a Donnybrook, and Waves of Molasses with special guest Architect and Bridge Designer Miguel RosalesAbout this EventPlease join Mike Manning of the Friends of the Boston Harborwalk (FBHW) for a walking tour of the North End and the William Felton “Bill” Russell Memorial Bridge with special guest Miguel Rosales. The tour will begin at the Mirabella Pool located at 475 Commercial Street in Boston's North End. We'll tour the North End and visit the following sites: Edmund Hartt shipyard (1794), the Great Molasses Flood (1919), the Draft Riot of 1863 (on Prince Street), and the Brink's Robbery (1950).We'll make our way to meet up with Miguel Rosales – architect and bridge designer of the new Russell Memorial Bridge. Miguel, along with the late Swiss engineer and bridge designer, Christian Menn, created the design of the adjacent Leonard P. Zakim-Bunker HillBridge as part of the Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel (CA/THT) project of the 1990s. The tour will end at approximately 12:15 PM.Nearest T stop is North Station (nearest to the North End).The Friends of the Boston Harborwalk is an all-volunteer group affiliated with Boston Harbor Now. The group meets monthly to promote awareness, public enjoyment and local stewardship of Boston’s 43-mile Harborwalk.
