Whether you choose the beginner or intermediate/advanced table, we'll assume you know the basics. We will be circulating to answer questions and help with rule reminders and strategies at the beginner tables, and we can settle any table rule debates at intermediate/advanced tables. We follow Modern American Canasta rules and NMJL mahjong rules.Intro to Mah JonggSign up for our mahjong learning table with a dedicated instructor (8 people max) if you are brand new to the game and want to learn the basics.WHAT'S INCLUDED:We'll provide all supplies for mahjong and canasta. We have a mix of traditional and modern mahjong sets. Bring your 2026 NMJL card if mahjong is your game of choice. We have limited number of 2026 cards available if you don't have one yet. We'll have limited card holders available for canasta-bring one if you want your own.DETAILS:Sign up on your own, with a friend, or your whole group! This is intended to be a great opportunity to play in a fun and inclusive, low-stakes environment. We'll prioritize helping you feel welcome and connect you with other people.
