is a commissioning project that celebrates American composers and the hometown communities that first supported them. 52 American composers, one from each state, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, are commissioned to write harp-centric works, each premiering in the hometown of the composer.
GroundWork(s): Massachusetts highlights composers with deep connections to Germany who call two countries home. Featuring flutist Demarre McGill, violist Danny Kim, and harpist Emily Levin, the programs centers around the world premiere of a new trio by Boston-based composer Kareem Roustom, the GroundWork(s) commissioned composer for Massachusetts.
