- **Event Description**: Join us at CONSERVEATORY: The Haus of Boco Ball for a wild night full of fun and fierce vibes!About this Event"Globally revered drag icons, Boston Conservatory alumni Jan Sport and Marcia, will judge the inaugural “CON*SERVE*ATORY: THE HAUS OF BOCO BALL.” Join as we celebrate Ball culture -- a distinctly LGBTQ+, largely black and Latine cultural phenomenon, which had its heyday in New York City in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, but is enjoying a cultural resurgence. Participants will compete in different categories and receive feedback from two of the most sought-after artists in the drag world today. Please see below for bios of our wonderful guests – stars from the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise and highly accomplished musical theater artists across Broadway and the West End.*While neither of our guests is BIPOC, co-producers from the BSA proudly acknowledge that both drag and ball history are Black history. Therefore, putting these art forms on a pedestal innately uplifts both queer and Black cultures."
