She holds a B.A. in English Literature and Africana Studies from Smith College and an MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University. Alongside her work as an arts and library administrator and educator, she is the founder of AfroCentered Media, a platform she launched in 2015 to amplify Black and Brown voices through photography. Her vernacular portraits and event photography have been exhibited at spaces like MASS MoCA and The Secret Society of Black Creatives, and her work appears in Black Futures (Penguin Random House, 2021).
