In this class, you’ll create a platter using slab techniques, then learn the art of sgrafitto— a surface decoration method where you carve through a colored underglaze to reveal the clay beneath. Try your hand at carving florals, stars, checkerboard patterns, vines, textures, or anything else that inspires you. A perfect class for illustrators, doodlers, and pattern lovers.

Pieces made in class will be ready in 3-4 weeks, after they have dried and been kiln-fired. 

Important Details:

-Clay can get messy. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Aprons will be provided.

-Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. All drinks must have a covered top.

-This class is for ages 10 and up. All under age 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

-Tickets are non-refundable.
