- **Event Description**: Are you ready to carve pumpkins for Halloween? What about carving them underwater? We are excited to bring back our pumpkin carving contest for the month of October! You read that right. This year’s pumpkin carving contest will start October 1st and will conclude during our Halloween Night Dive Party on October 31st.

Here is how it works:

1. Anytime during the month of October take a pumpkin to Gray Quarry and carve it while diving. Make sure to take pictures or video evidence that the pumpkin was carved while underwater. Please make sure your pumpkin is gutted before you take it in the water.

2. To enter the contest, you will need to provide evidence of the carving happening underwater at Gray Quarry and a picture or video of the final product to Smoky Mountain Divers via email at info@smokymountaindivers.com 

3. Prizes will be offered to the top three pumpkins with the most votes from the community, fan favorites, staff favorites, most creative, etc.

4. We will also be running a raffle for additional give-a-way items. You will get an entry into the raffle for tagging us in your pumpkin photos or videos on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, & Tik Tok. Also make sure to tag Gray Quarry on Facebook and Instagram. You can get up to 6 entries into the raffle.

If you do not want to take your carved pumpkin home, then bring it by the shop and we will put it on display during the Halloween season.

You do not need to be present on October 31st to win either a main prize or raffle prize. Community voting for Pumpkins will Open at 9:00am on October 30th and close at 6:00pm on October 31st. Winners and raffles will be announced at our Halloween Night Dive Party on the evening of October 31st.
