December 19th- Movie Night! It will be open to kids age 6-13 and will go from 6-9pm. The movie will most likely begin at 6:30, and finish around 8-8:30. So there should be some time before and after the movie for some games and fun-ness. We will ask that the kiddos bring something comfortable to sit on, and we will provide popcorn and snacks. Cost for this movie night is $20 for the first attendee and half price for their friend or family member. Please sign up on the sheet at on the white counter.

December 24-26th- Dojo Closed for Christmas! All 30 minute classes will be rescheduled. Have an incredible holiday!

December 31-January 2nd- Dojo Closed for New Year's holiday. I'll be asleep by about 9pm, so let me know if the world ends at midnight like it did in the year 2000...

January 5th- 30 Day Challenge begins! I earnestly believe in the benefits of maintaining a device-limited lifestyle, and to encourage you all to experience it, we will continue to do this challenge at least once per year. Here's the catch: there's no downside. For those kids age 7-13 who want to participate, all you have to do is say goodbye to your device for the month except for school work. For those of you that can complete the challenge, we'll take you to Just Jump to celebrate your accomplishment. Even if you make it most of the month, you'll experience a difference in a bunch of different areas. Try it! You'll see!

January 9th- Belt Testing! For those of you who've got 2 stripes on your belts (except for green and brown belts), you should be mentally and physically preparing to test on this upcoming test. Even if we get closer to the test date, and you still don't have all of the required material, or you just don't feel ready, at least you've been working towards your goal. Start looking for testing cards in the next couple of weeks.


          I heard a story years ago from a friend. When she used to misbehave at her house, her mom would sit her down at their kitchen table and make her write down 5 things she was grateful for. Her story really stuck with me- even going on 20 years later. I hope I'm beyond the misbehavior phase of my life, but taking pause to to reflect on my blessings has been monumentally life-changing. Thank YOU ALL for making it super easy to be gracious!
