Dive Site Cleanup - Gray Quarry

Join Smoky Mountain Divers as we take the time to serve our local community by conducting a shore and dive site cleanup. We will have two teams working during the day. One team will focus on collecting and cleaning the dive site underwater. The second team will focus on providing surface support to the dive team and collecting trash and cleaning the shoreline and surrounding area.

We will also be documenting all the trash that we find both in the water and on land to submit to the Project AWARE Foundation to help get a clear picture of the impact on our local waters.

This is a free event, and you do not have to be a scuba diver to participate.

This is also a great opportunity to certify as a PADI Dive Against Debris specialty diver.
