At noon the motor maniacs from OMS will meet again at Ron Peters shop to continue the Boris Build. 
Last month at Ron's there was Paul, Ross, Denny and Joe.

Again a successful session it was. The problem with no oil pressure showing was resolved with the gauge that Ross brought. Thanks Ross.

On to tuning. We started Boris and warmed it up. Then did a first pass on carb tuning. On to timing which we set using a set-back timing light, and back for another tweak on the carb setting.

Starting this process we discovered that the choke hadn't been hooked up to the carb. It did take some babying on starting. More on that for next session.

 If the gas n grease gods are smiling, a short drive could happen. Heck, it's been seen running on public roads. Can't be that hard? I'm sure it sounds like a broken record, but there is a shortening list of small tasks when one is finishing a project car. 

Small tasks include:

More tuning, Install the steering column covers. Repair rack boot. Get and install the right Temp sensor. When we started and warmed the engine, the  temp gauge wasn't reading anything. We suspect the old gauge is paired with a new style sensor. Install silicon valve cover gasket. Fix rear shocks. The fasteners are missing. Anchor the front seats. 

For those new to OMS, Boris is an early '60s Morris that club members have been assembling from donated components. The goal is to produce donations, via renting or selling Boris, for scholarships in local automotive education.
