Boris Day at Ron's Shop!!!

Saturday, November 22, at noon the motor maniacs from OMS will gather at Ron Peters shop and continue the Boris Build.

When we left off, we were pushing Boris around because of a clutch problem. Bit of a let-down.

Once that problem is rectified, it's back to the collection of small details to be finished.
This is a British Car, after all. There remains plenty of work on odds and ends. The lights all work, just the horn needs a solution finalized. More finishing touches like upholstery, and bright stuff. If the gas n grease gods are smiling, a short drive around the driveway could happen. Heck, it's been seen running around on public roads. We'll take a swing at that as soon as it's able. I'm sure it sounds like a broken record, but there is a shortening list of small tasks when one is finishing a project car.

Small tasks include:

Install new distributor. Set timing. Install the steering column covers. Thanks Brent! Revise plumbing for heater. Fix oil leak at pressure connector. Repair rack boot. Install the windscreen wiper and washer parts.

It's always something.

For those new to OMS, Boris is an early '60s Morris that club members have been assembling from donated components. The goal is to produce donations, via renting or selling Boris, for scholarships in local automotive education.
