Welcome to the Grumpy Goblins Flea Market — a geeky community pop-up where board games, card games, RPGs, miniatures, collectibles, nerdy treasures and other perfectly respectable hoard get a second chance. Maybe you’ve got games you no longer play. Maybe you bought something because it was “too good a deal to pass up” and have since discovered that you have absolutely no room for it. Maybe you simply need to make space before the shelves stage a rebellion. Whatever the reason, bring us your loot and let the goblins deal with it. Selling? Dump the Hoard. We’ll Do the Yelling. Selling your stuff is easy. Bring your unwanted board games, card games, RPGs, miniatures, nerdy merchandise, collectibles and other tabletop treasures to the market Saturday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Label each item with: • Your asking price • Your Swish number Then leave it with us. No table rental. No seller fee. No spending the entire day trying to convince strangers that your 2014 Kickstarter mistake is actually a collector’s item. The goblins handle the selling, and all proceeds from sold items go back to you. Just make sure your stuff is in decent condition and includes all, or at least most, of the pieces. Goblins are forgiving. Buyers have unfortunately developed standards. Buying? Prepare to Dig. For buyers, this is where things get interesting. We’ll have a hoard of secondhand games and geeky treasures waiting to be discovered, with plenty of opportunities to find something you absolutely did not come here looking for. Expect: • Board games • Card games • RPGs • Miniatures • Nerdy merchandise • Collectibles • Oddities • Bargains • Possible mystery boxes • At least one thing you will immediately decide you “need” Swish payment only. Gold, gems and suspiciously shiny objects may be accepted by individual goblins, but we cannot guarantee that they will survive the transaction. Haggling is optional. Goblin impressions are encouraged. Why Are We Doing This? Because games deserve better than sitting untouched on a shelf until the next move. The Flea Market gives old games and other nerdy treasures a chance to find new homes while bringing the local tabletop community together. You clear some space. Someone else gets a bargain. A perfectly good game gets played again. And the goblins get to watch humans argue over cardboard. Everybody wins. Probably. A Few Things You Should Know Items are dropped off at your own risk, although our goblins are generally trustworthy when properly supervised. Any unsold items can be collected Saturday between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Anything left behind after that will be considered donated to Grumpy Goblins Inc. So set an alarm. Blame the goblins later.
