- **Event Description**: Join the rising sun as it brightens the Blue Ridge peaks, illuminating layers of mountains and valleys in all directions. 
This meditative 3-mile walk differs from traditional forest bathing and interpretive walks in a couple of ways. Although a nature connectiveness prompt (invitation) is offered at the beginning of these hikes, the mileage is longer (3 miles), walking pace is faster (2-3mph) and some trail sections can be moderately challenging (elevation change). We do slow down briefly for beautiful views & animals. To ensure an immersive experience, group size is limited to the first 10 people who register at [www.blueridgefriends.org/hcregistration]. 

A confirmation with directions to the trailhead will be sent to those who successfully register.
