Come along with us on a journey to explore the butterflies that inhabit the CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails and participate in a citizen science project with Connie Nagele!Connie is a member of the Naples Native Plant Society and the North American Butterfly Association. She has created a native garden for the Collier-Seminole State Park and has attended several NABA webinars and butterfly counts sponsored by local NABA chapters. She is also part owner of SWFL Nursery.Butterflies are her special joy! She created a Butterfly Count Program as a way to invite the public to learn more about butterflies in Collier County. The program is open to the public and includes butterfly identification training courses. Butterfly counts take place twice a year in 3 of the County Parks. Data is collected and shared with the scientific community.***There is an optional training session, held over Zoom, on April 8th. Participants signed up for the butterfly count will receive an email with a link to the Zoom meeting a week before the training. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events8/banners/39be5f70-d6ce-11f0-9870-c97cdd2519ed-rimg-w988-h740-dc7a7848-gmir.jpg
