- **Event Description**: Experience the sights and sounds of the birds at CREW!About this EventFrom raptors to songbirds, many different birds utilize the mosaic of ecosystems that make up the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW). Join a guided birding walk to learn more about the birds of Southwest Florida and how to identify them. There are over 200 species of birds that call CREW home - whether that be year-round or seasonally. Seasonal birding walks are a great way to experience the changing seasons with our feathered friends. Guided bird walks are intended for all levels of birders. CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails offers a unique birding opportunity. With the abundance of snags here, you can spot several different woodpecker species. Did you know we have 7 different species within CREW? This trail system is typically the last to dry down after the wet season, offering a concentrated buffet for several kinds of birds like waterfowl, wading birds, and shorebirds.
