Welcome to this beautiful 90 minute Yin Yoga: Grounding practice. This style of yoga teaches us to slow down, to turn inward and find stillness. It is a beautiful time of year reminding us to let go of what no longer serves us, so we can clear the clutter, and create a welcoming space for the new.
Yin Yoga is the practice of stillness and allows the body’s connective tissues, ligaments, and tendons to stretch out as the poses are held for 5-8 minutes. In a world that is so fast, Yin Yoga gives us space to slow down, turn inward, breathe and surrender into each pose without forcing it.
Here are just some of the benefits of Yin Yoga:
-Enhancing the range of motion of your joints and ligaments.
-Encouraging you to connect with your breath.
-Improving emotional balance.
-Reducing symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances
Grounding gives us an opportunity to reset and bring us back to the present moment when our mind gets a little noisy. As we focus on the lower body, we learn to dig our roots in through times of discomfort and breathe through our internal storms.
During this practice, I will guide you to your own edge in the stretch and make space for affirmations and breath work to help cultivate your own sense of stability.
This will be a lovely candlelit experience with singing bowls and other little instruments to help you on your journey of grounding through gratitude.

*Bring your yoga mat (there are a few extras if needed)
* Props are NOT necessary for this practice; I do encourage you to bring 2 blocks, pillow(s), your own bolster if you have one, blanket to get cozy at the end
