Salvatore De Simone (salvatoredesimone.com) is an Italian dance artist working internationally. He worked as a professional dancer in Germany and Italy, as a freelancer and full-time member for State Theatre Companies. In 2021, he joined Company Wayne McGregor in London, where he has since toured internationally performing in major theatres and festivals worldwide.
As a performer, Salvatore has collaborated on projects that bridge dance, fashion, and art, working with brands such as Antonio Marras, Moschino, and Bvlgari, and dancing in prestigious galas including those curated by Alina Cojocaru and Roberto Bolle. His performance experience includes repertories and creations by Wayne McGregor, Crystal Pite, amongst others.
As a choreographer, Salvatore’s work explores the intersection of movement, literature, and visual dramaturgy. Crafting worlds of chiaroscuro that cross disciplines, evoke emotions, and reveal timeless beauty. His work was presented at The Place London, Deutsche TanzKompanie, Create Danza Ita, Eko Dance Project etc.
Alongside his performance and choreographic work, Salvatore regularly teaches workshops and creative labs internationally, including at The Royal Ballet School, Royal Danish Ballet School, Montpellier Danse, and La Biennale di Venezia, sharing his expertise in somathics, anatomical articulation and creative process.
