Some of you already know, but I wanted to share the news here in the group as well. I’ll be stepping away from teaching Zumba for a while, and Thursday, September 3rd will be my last class as an instructor.

Nothing is wrong and there’s no big story behind it. I just feel like I need a break from teaching. Zumba is still very much my passion, and it will always be a huge part of my life. I found Zumba back in 2011, so it’s been with me for about 15 years now, and I’ve been teaching for 10+ of those years. Needless to say, I’m not going very far. �

And before anyone panics… Zumba is NOT going away! �� Classes will continue. The Rec Center is working out the details for the instructor schedule right now, and I’ll share more information as soon as I have it. BreAnna Hoyt has also graciously offered to pick up at least one of the nights, so we’re already working on getting things covered.

And I’m not going to leave you hanging! If we need a little extra time to get everything figured out, I’ll continue to help bridge the gap until we have a plan in place. �

I’ll still be in the classroom, just on the other side of it! I’ll be sweating and dancing with you instead of being the one making you sweat. �

I really want to thank all of you for being part of this journey. Thank you for supporting me over the years, and for continuing to show up and support all of our amazing instructors here at the rec center. We truly have such a great Zumba community, and YOU are what makes it so special. �

And this definitely isn't goodbye! I’ll still be there dancing, sweating, laughing and probably getting yelled at by whichever instructor is teaching that day. �

Thursday, September 3rd | 5:30–7:30 PM We’ll be taking over the gym for TWO HOURS of Zumba! ��

Normal admission applies: free for members and $5 for non-members.

Whether you’ve never tried Zumba before, haven’t been in a while, or you’ve been showing up faithfully all these years, I’d absolutely love to see you there for one last big dance together. Let’s make it a fun one! ��

McG may be stepping away from the instructor mic, but she’s definitely not leaving the dance floor. �
