Calling all kids ages 5 to 15! Come on out to Hidden Lakes Trout Farm and try your hand at fishing. We promise to reel in plenty of excitement! Prizes and trophies will be awarded for the largest fish in three different age categories: 5-8; 9-12; and 13-15. We will provide one free container of nightcrawlers. Even if the fish aren’t biting, everyone goes home a winner because each participant receives a giveaway and sweet treats! 

Sign up for one or other sessions:

Session 1: 7-9 a.m.   
Session 2: 9:30-11:30 a.m. 
This year’s fishing derbies at Hidden Lakes Trout Farm are being sponsored by The Nature Foundation of Will County with a gift from Vulcan Materials Company.

Fee: Free!
Age: All ages.

Registration will be available the day of the derby if openings remain.

Hidden Lakes Trout Farm has paved accessible trails from the parking lot. Shoreline fishing takes place on natural surfaces over uneven terrain.  Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
