We'll be taking time to appreciate the fall landscape and observe various bird behaviors throughout our walk.Kathryn Albertson Park is a 41-acre special use park located near downtown Boise, and is part of the Idaho Birding Trail. A haven for wildlife and quiet contemplation, the park features wide, paved paths and outdoor gazebos in a beautiful natural setting. The most common fall birds here are songbirds, geese, ducks, kingfishers, and herons.Recently reported species can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L212900Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome!Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.Time: 8:00am - 10:00am. Check-in is at 7:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time. The planters at the Kathryn Albertson Park central entrance, near the parking lot. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, comfortable shoes, binoculars, water, and snacks as needed. No dogs please.Restroom Availability: Restrooms will be available at the park entrance and towards the end of our loop.Accessibility: This field trip is along paths at Kathryn Albertson Park that are paved and ADA accessible, and may be suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. It may be accessible for those with blind and/or low vision, and there may be opportunities for birding by ear. Note that these opportunities may be limited due to the trip being outside of breeding season. This field trip was created with inclusion and accessibility for those with disabilities in mind. Everyone is welcome to join us! Field Trip Leaders will help with bird identification and questions, but are not able to provide one-on-one physical aid or navigational assistance (including sighted guiding) on our trips. Participants are always welcome to arrange any assistance they may need in the field! Please ensure that any assistant is registered to attend this event.
