We'll be taking time to appreciate the winter landscape and observe various bird behaviors throughout our walk.Kathryn Albertson Park is a 41-acre special use park located near downtown Boise, and is part of the Idaho Birding Trail. A haven for wildlife and quiet contemplation, the park features wide, paved paths and outdoor gazebos in a beautiful natural setting. The most common summer birds here are songbirds, geese, ducks, kingfishers, and herons.Recently reported species can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L212900Accessibility: This event is appropriate for those with visual impairment and/or limited mobility, and is wheelchair accessible.Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome! Binoculars will be available if needed.Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm. Check-in time is at 9:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time. The entrance to Kathryn Albertson Park central entrance, at the parking lot. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, comfortable shoes, binoculars, and water. A spotting scope will be available for the group to share, but please feel free to bring your own.
