About this Event

Idaho Shows Up for Care: A Community Showing of Support at the State of the State Address

Idaho is facing big decisions this year. Because of a major budget shortfall, the state is considering significant Medicaid cuts—cuts that would directly affect thousands of Idahoans with disabilities who rely on daily support, employment assistance, community services, and essential care.

This moment matters.
And your presence at the State of the State Address can help make a real difference.

When a large, peaceful group of people with disabilities, their families, and their support staff attends this event together, it shows our leaders—and the media—that Idaho cares deeply about protecting these essential services. A strong community presence encourages our elected officials to find a way to keep disability supports insulated from budget cuts.

You do not need to speak, testify, or confront anyone.
Your role is simple and powerful: show up.

Just by being there, you help shine a light on the needs of Idaho’s most vulnerable community members.

Why This Event Will Have Impact
  • The Governor, legislators, and statewide media will all be present.
  • A large showing of families and people with disabilities demonstrates the importance of Medicaid services in everyday life.
  • Positive visibility helps keep disability services at the forefront of state decision-making.
  • This event sends the message that Idahoans value dignity, safety, independence, and inclusion for all community members.

Our goal is a respectful, hopeful, and unified community presence.
