Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.Join Golden Eagle Audubon on our classic caravanning field trip. We will explore Ted Trueblood WMA and the CJ Strike Reservoir looking for waterfowl, shorebirds, songbirds and raptors. Some of these stops will be brief and others may involve walking up to one mile on flat terrain. Anyone who wishes to extend the day can stop at Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park, Loveridge Bridge or backtrack to other spots along CJ Strike on their way home.Recently reported species at Ted Trueblood WMA can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L812291Accessibility: This trip requires moderate hiking and is not suited for those with limited mobility. We will go for short walks over level but rough terrain. This field trip is not wheelchair accessible.Birding Skill Level: All levels of birders welcome, but you may enjoy your time more if you have some experience. Binoculars will be available if needed.Age: Participants must be 18 or older to participate.Time: 7:30am - 5:00pm. Check-in is at 7:20am. Please arrive at check-in, as we will leave promptly at 7:30am.: 2286 E Gowen Road, Boise, ID 83716. The Columbia Marketplace at Federal Way and Highway 21. We gather at the South end of the parking lot near the liquor store. At the rendezvous, we will organize carpools and then caravan to Ted Trueblood WMA at 7:30am. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)If you want to meet us at Ted Trueblood WMA, please register and email the field trip leader so we know to look for you there.This trip will be limited to 6 cars. Must be willing to carpool.What to Bring: Layers for Weather, sun protection, closed-toe shoes, binoculars, a scope if you have one, water, lunch, snacks. No dogs please.Restroom Availability: Be prepared for a one hour drive to the first stop. There are no restrooms available at Ted Trueblood WMA, but there are plenty of shrubs.
