Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a lovely morning of spring birding at Lucky Peak State Park: Sandy Point and Discovery Units at the base of Lucky Peak Dam. We will meet at Sandy Point Park and make our way to Discovery Park, birding along the way. You can expect to see orioles, flycatchers, chickadees, kingbirds, cormorants, raptors, wrens, swallows and more! We will be covering up to two miles at a relaxed pace on smooth paved and gravel surfaces.This is an accessible and inclusive bird outing. All are welcome! Please use the special needs question in the registration form to let us know more about you. You are welcome to join us for all or part of the outing.Recently reported species can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L876760Accessibility: This event is appropriate for those with visual impairment and/or limited mobility, and is wheelchair accessible.Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.Time: 9:00am - 11:00am. Check-in is at 8:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time. Meet near the restroom building at Sandy Point Park at 9:00 am. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)Please Note: A current State Park Pass or $7 cash for the Motor Vehicle Entry Fee is required at each area.What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, binoculars, water, and snacks as needed.
