Master Class with Anthony de Mare: Living Composers and Multi-Piano Works

Join us for a free master class with Anthony de Mare, one of the world's foremost champions of contemporary music. Known for his visionary artistry and transformative interpretations, de Mare brings decades of insight into the works of living composers and the dynamic possibilities of multi-piano works. Learn directly from a pianist whose collaborations with artists such as Steve Reich, Meredith Monk, Nico Muhly and Jon Batiste have helped redefine the modern repertoire. A brilliant teacher and captivating performer, de Mare's master classes offer students and audiences a powerful window into the creative process: how new music is made, interpreted and experienced.

This event also marks the first master class at the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center to feature three grand pianos, including a special instrument on display from Hamilton Pianos, which sets the stage for an unforgettable musical exchange.
