The band, which started in early 2025, consists of vocalist/sax player/percussionist Josh Schwartz (Zac Brown Band, Remain In Light, Turkuaz), drummer/vocalist Jamie Newitt (The Heavy Pets), bassist/vocalist Chris Patsis (The Heavy Pets), keyboardist/vocalist Jim Wuest (The Heavy Pets), and guitarist Danny Mayer (Eric Krasno, Alan Evans Trio). Each member is a master of his craft, and together their decades of experience playing everywhere from bars to stadiums and their shared love for soul, jazz and funk music creates a musical alchemy that is immediately apparent from the first note. Equally at home grooving on an instrumental tune as they are belting 4-part vocal harmonies, The Somethings can blend into the background or have a crowd listening in rapt attention.

At their shows, you’ll probably hear some tunes you know, some tunes you didn’t know you knew, and some tunes you’ve never heard but will want to hear again. If you have two feet and a heartbeat, you’ll dig what they’re putting down.
