She holds more than 25 years in advocacy, project development and community collaboration. Stacey is passionate about water safety and creating safer spaces for people with disabilities. Above all, Stacey is the proud parent of a young man with autism.Presenter: Jaclyn MerensTopic: A Parent's StoryJaclyn Merens, Board Vice Chair Jaclyn Merens has been part of CARD since the formation of the state CARD system of support. She was an original Constituency Board member for UM CARD and served on the original FAU CARD Board. Jaclyn has been an advocate for autism issues since her 41 year old son Daniel's diagnosis, running PBC parent groups, FL Department of Ed. Parent/Professional Partnership trainings, and S. FL's Regional Director for the NAAR and Autism Speaks.
