We’re hosting a Local Authors Celebration, a welcoming, community-led day celebrating the wonderful writing talent across Northumberland & the North East, and we would absolutely love for you to be part of it.
📅 Saturday 28th March
🕚 11am – 3pm (arrive from 10am)
🪑 16 tables available
This is not a market with pressure to perform or sell hard, it’s an opportunity to celebrate and where visitors can:
✨ meet local authors
✨ hear the stories behind the stories
✨ buy books directly from the people who wrote them
💷 Table Cost: £10
(we’ve kept this accessible and community-first on purpose)
This includes:
☕ A cuppa & cake per table
🎟️ The remaining funds go into a raffle and the winner will be able to spend the money at the event, buying books or merch from our Authors. That way, the money goes straight back into supporting local authors.
What you can expect as an author:
✔️ A table/chair provided
✔️ The chance to talk about your book(s) if you’d like
✔️ Visitors able to browse and buy books
✔️ A calm, friendly, no-pressure atmosphere
✔️ Absolutely zero “hard sell” vibes
This might be for you if:
📖 You’re published or self-published
🖊️ You write children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, poetry or something beautifully niche
🌱 You’d love to connect with other Authors
