Dinner with a Local Author: Featuring Paisley Ray
The Cottage Café, Bakery & Tea Room will be hosting a special dinner event featuring local author Paisley Ray – the author of 80’s era, southern inspired women’s fiction. Ray is the author of The Rachael O’Brien Chronicles – a humorous romantic misadventure mystery 10 book series.
Dine on Brittish fare and libations, featuring the Cottage Café’s creative touches on recipes mentioned in Ray’s 4th book of the series "Toad in the Hole" in honor of St. George Day, the patron saint of England - aka the dragon slayer! There will also be an author reading, opportunity to buy books, book signing and promises to be a unique evening of food and fun.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Paisley Ray spent summer breaks with relatives on the Carolina shores. It didn't take long for a love of southern to become cemented in her veins, and years later yield the setting for her novels. A graduate of Marquette University, she has zigzagged cross country and previously taken up residence in Chicago, Milwaukee, and California. Now, she has gleefully boomeranged back to her happy place and resides on Hilton Head Island. Most days, Paisley takes time to explore the Lowcountry to try and figure out where a villainous character would commit the unthinkable.
