August Star Party and Dark Sky Ambassador Kick-Off event

Join us for our next monthly star party with telescope viewing, on Saturday, August 23, and the kick off event for our NEW Dark Sky Ambassador program.

Come at 8pm to learn more about how you can be involved in the Dark Sky Ambassadors program! Ambassadors will train dark sky enthusiasts to monitor light pollution, telescope operation, and more.

The public star party will start at 8:30 PM at the Bluff Community Center (3rd East and Mulberry, Bluff Rd, Bluff, UT 84512). Come enjoy spectacular dark skies and learn more about the cosmos.

All experience levels welcome. We will provide several telescopes for you to use, and you are welcome to bring your own. BEP staff will share stargazing tips and point out celestial features. Please bring a red light and chair or blanket for sitting.

BEP will be hosting monthly star parties around each New Moon, in addition to other Dark Sky programming. Save the date for September 19 at Edge of the Cedars Park, and October 21 at Goosenecks State Park.
