So give yourself the day to enjoy this with us. This hike, though short, is NOT for beginners. Bring the usual: lots of water, electrolytes, sticks, insect repellent, sunscreen, snack, raingear. WE WILL USE TRAILHEAD PARKING LOT UNLESS IT IS FULL. If that lot is full we will have to go to the commuter lot on VA Rt 7. hoping that the early start will allow for us all to fit at trailhead, or maybe some of you could carpool. Trailhead Parking LIMITED: Turn onto Pine Grove Rd. and park in 20 yards on the right into the small parking area and kiosk trailhead. 39.11665, -77.85239 If the trailhead parking is full go to commuter lot after checking in with me at trailhead and Park on the south side of VA 7 at the ridge. 39.11536, -77.8475. I will come get you to ferry over. Do Not park on Pine Grove Rd/VA679 or you may be towed. Adhere to the No Parking signs.
