We invite all Scouts, Scoutmasters, Cubmasters, Advisors, and adult leaders to participate in this meaningful event as we honor the U.S. National Day of Prayer. The Scouts Read Sacred Texts Worldwide initiative encourages youth to engage with their sacred texts, aligning beautifully with the values and principles of Scouting.

**Why Participate?**  
- Supports the Scout Oath commitment to duty to God  
- Encourages personal reflection consistent with BSA principles  
- Respects each Scout’s family and faith tradition  
- Can be completed individually, with family, or as a unit activity  
- Requires no religious instruction by the unit leader  

**Advancement Credit:**  
Participation satisfies the Reverence requirement for Cub Scouts and the Scout Spirit requirement for Scouts BSA, helping them to fulfill their duty to God. 

Last year’s event was a tremendous success, with a **54% increase** in participation and a **275% increase** in reading hours! This year, we’re excited to expand our outreach to include youth from various organizations, such as 4-H, American Heritage Girls, and Girl Scouts, fostering a broader sense of community.

Let’s come together to celebrate faith, reflection, and the spirit of Scouting. We can’t wait to see you there!
