- **Event Description**: Over 1300 people have committed to risk arrest to save thousands of beagles trapped and tortured at Ridglan Farms, a notorious animal experimentation and breeding facility in Dane County, Wisconsin. On April 19, we will put that commitment into action.

For decades, Ridglan Farms has sent tens of thousands of dogs to gruesome deaths: force-fed toxic chemicals, cut apart like pieces of food, and even injected with dangerous diseases such as rabies. Four state agencies have concluded that Ridglan has violated state cruelty laws. And millions of Americans—including animal welfare experts such as Jane Goodall, Marc Bekoff, and Patricia McConnell and over 100 humane societies—have demanded action by the authorities to protect the dogs. But for years, the authorities have refused.

So we decided to rescue them instead. On March 15, around 100 activists, including Baywatch actor Alexandra Paul, nonviolently entered the facility to give aid to suffering dogs. Tens of millions of people cheered us on, including Superman director James Gunn and sports magnate Dave Portnoy. Media outlets around the world covered the rescue. And, most importantly, 22 dogs were rescued. But even with the world’s attention on Ridglan, the authorities still refuse to enforce the law and protect the dogs, leaving thousands of dogs to languish in cages as they await torture or death. 

On April 19, that will change. 

In this mass nonviolent action, we will rally at Ridglan and call on the authorities to join us in rescuing the dogs from Ridglan Farms. The public is outraged by the abuses. Rescue groups are waiting to help. And a puppy at the facility is trapped and crying from her 2’ x 4’ metal cage.
