Matt Stevens is a local photographer, U.S. Marin, nature-lover, advocate for mental health, & champion for positivity & kindness. He has inspired many people through his, "High on the Mountain Photography" social media posts.
Matt's vision is to capture the moments where nature & humanity come together in harmony. He strives to create images that reflect the profound connection between people & the wild landscapes that surround us, showcasing not just scenes, but shared experiences with the earth. Through his work, he hopes to inspire others to see the beauty in both the world & ourselves, reminding us of our responsibility to preserve nature.
May is National Photography Month, designated to celebrate the art, history & power of visual storytelling.
May is also Mental Health Awareness Month, designed to help fight stigma, provide support, & to educate the public on mental wellness. The 2026 theme is "More Good Days, Together," focusing on community connection & support.
Matt Stevens will share with us how photography & connection to community has helped him in his mental health journey.
