Guitar Ensemble concert

Come out on the evening of November 20 to hear the CU-Bloomsburg Guitar Ensemble at 7:30 pm! They will be performing a variety of compositions, including pieces by the Belarusian-American composer Olga Amelkina-Vera (“Nebulae” and “Fantasy on a Russian Theme”), a “Rumba” by the Czech guitarist/composer Stepan Rak, music by Domenico Scarlatti, and a piece based on Venezuelan folk music (“Joropó”). The concert will include performances by a guitar octet, a guitar quartet, and the full 12 member guitar “orchestra.” The concert is on Nov. 20 in Carver Hall.
