As temperatures, sunlight, and plants and trees begin to grow in the vernal season, so too does our lifeforce energy (Qi)!
This upwelling after weeks of dark, sleepy winter is certainly exciting. However, if this rising power is left unmanaged, we risk burnout, maybe before we even start.
In this workshop participants will learn fundamentals of the Chinese Five Phases (Wu Xing) theory and how it informs our life, season-to-season. Practices for cultivating and wisely directing Wood energy, the energy of Springtime, will also be shared.

This all-levels workshop is appropriate for anyone curious about how energy (qi or prana) affects us. Qigong is a Chinese system of movement and meditation practiced by millions of people at all levels of fitness the world over. If you are wondering, the answer is Yes! This offering is for you!
Facilitated by Liz Cobb:
Energetic practices that situate us firmly in our bodies fire me up! Most of my training is in Yoga, though in recent years I have been deeply inspired by the philosophy and movement principles of Qigong. I believe both practices have a wealth of wisdom for anyone interested in strengthening their mind-body-spirit connection. Further, I think anyone with a foundation in either Yoga or Qigong, will enrich that experience and knowledge by investigating the other. My Qigong offerings are informed by nature as well as many Taiqi/Qigong masters and practitioners. My formal Qigong study has been conducted in Wu Shen (5 Spirits) with Stephanie Nosco and Wu Xing (5 Phases) with Mimi Kou Deemer.
